This year's 4th of July trip to the beach was Eden's third time visiting the ocean and sandy beach. We spent a week at Emerald Isle this year and had a fantastic time.

Eden learned how to build sand castles from her Uncle Craig.

It took Eden a few days to get used to the ocean. The first day, she was afraid and barely wanted to be on the beach. It was so overwhelming, she kept asking to go night-night after being on the beach for 20-30minutes.
The second day, she spent a lot of time playing at the water table with Cassidy and Chole and in the fresh water pool under the tent with all of her cousins.
By the third day she was enjoying the surf, jumping waves with Mommy.
By the end of the week, Eden was surfing with Daddy and running up and down the beach, in and out of the water.

Cassidy, Eden's cousin, spent a lot of time with Eden on the beach. One afternoon, when I was on my way up to get Eden up from her nap, I heard Eden say through the monitor, "Cackidy...where are you??" Eden loved playing with Cassidy!!

I think spending a week in close quarters with Eden got her interested in the potty. She insisted on sitting on the potty when we got home. Funny how she picked up a book to read while she was there!
