Christmas 2008!!!

Merry Christmas, Peace on Earth....

We spent Christmas day at Nana's house.

With Bill, Cronin and Wayne.

We didn't decorate this year, but at the last minute on Christmas Eve, we brought down the mini-tree.

Christmas Eve 2008!!

Santa came to our house early this year.  Considering we didn't put up any decorations, including a tree, I didn't think letting Santa come a few days early would cause any confusion.   

Santa was kind enough to bring Eden a gift she could grow into, a Jumperoo!!

Cam and I were very excited about Eden getting this...another gadget to keep her entertained and stimulated.  What was the first thing she did when we put her in it?  The first thing she does with anything else, she tries to put it in her mouth.

We had really nice weather, it was about 60 degrees....

Nice enough to play with the dogs outside.

Unfortunately, Eden is feeling a little under the weather for her first Christmas.  Her day included a lot of impromptu napping.

We did however, manage to get in the first half of How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Funny things

Eden really enjoyed the Christmas show that Regis and Kelly put on the week of Christmas.

Christmas at the Chavez house

Rae and Mark Chavez invited us to a Christmas dinner at their new house.

This is Eden with Rae and Matthew.

She met Ruby, who is Sarah Free's little girl. She is one month older than Eden.

Is she freaking Eden out?!

No, it's the camera, it did the same thing to her eyes too! :)

Christmas party at Aunt Megan & Uncle Brian's house

This year, our Christmas present from Papa and GG was a cruise trip to the Caribbean.  Since everyone was going to be gone for the holiday, Megan and Brian hosted an early Christmas party at their house in Greensboro.

Papa, GG, Nanna and Amy's family were there...

Uncle Cronin was there too.

Eden got a chance to hang out with her cousins....

Ashton, Cameron, Peyton, Triston and Trent.

Cameron and Trent got light sabers from Uncle Cronin.

Ashton was showing us her new cheerleading moves...

And of course, Cam had to show her how it was really done!

My friend, Lilly

Eden has a little friend, Lilly who was born three weeks after Eden.  The girls finally got to meet each other.  We think they had a good time!

Eden kept grabbing Lilly's hand, it was cute.  I think she wanted to put it in her mouth, like everything else.

 

New Bathtub:

We decided it would be a good idea to get Eden a new bathtub.  I have been bathing her in the "big girl tub" every night.  She sits on a little folding bath chair that isn't so sturdy and we have to fill the entire tub which takes 5-10 minutes.  We found a "spa" bath tub for Eden....it has a whirlpool and a shower feature and a snuggly seat that is a lot safer than the one we have been using.

Eden loves SportsCenter and Santa!

Eden loves to play with her Dad. Cam likes to load up the toys for a maximum effect...like the totem pole of toys he built for Eden when we were at Grandmas house, or the toys he rigged up to lean over and kiss her every time she hiccuped. Here, he makes the most of her ability to sit in her little chair and see her toys from a different perspective.

Of course....all the while watching SportsCenter.

Eden had the chance to meet Santa when Mom and Dad met one day for lunch at the mall. We don't think she knew who he was or cared for that matter. She was happy to be there though.
