Spring 2010

I have been horribly behind in posts this spring, but I really have only one small person to blame...Our Mac has been put through the ringer, it was dropped on it's side, the side where the power cord connects, which didn't allow the computer to charge at all.  In addition, tiny fingers managed to pull off two keys; the period and the shift key on the right side of the key pad.  Two keys that are used quite frequently. Needless to say, the Genius Bar was able to undo the work Eden had done on our laptop.  THANK GOD.
So here is what we've been up to...
We were fortunate to be invited to Chris and Stacey's annual egg hunt on their farm.  The weather  cooperated and we had a fantastic afternoon.  We toured the new barn and tried to keep the animal abuse to a minimum...the chickens got the brunt of harassment, the kids LOVED chasing them around the farm.  Poor birds!
The kids got a chance to ride Flash and Eden got to pet Chief.
Eden really did her best trying to keep up with all of the kids.  She did pretty well for herself in the egg hunt.
Cam and Chris and their dog, Buddha.
Jorge, Jeremy, Chris and Cam.  Jeremy and Eden spent a lot of time blowing bubbles.
Blowing  bubbles is one of Eden's most favorite things to do.  We spend a lot of time outside blowing bubbles, pushing the bubble mower and riding bikes.

Eden is very girly, she loves playing dress up and putting on jewelry and high heels.

We spend most of our time outside playing in the yard.

I had a great time with Britta, Katie and Brooke over my birthday weekend.  I just had to add this photo.

Tossing cookies... of all types

Happy Easter!!

We were very excited to be heading to Grandma and Grandpa's house this spring to celebrate Easter.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned...Halfway through our road trip to Grandma and Grandpa's Farm, Eden started tossing her cookies....all over the inside of our car.  We crossed our fingers and hoped that it was due to her watching a DVD while we zipped in and out of traffic.  When we stopped for dinner, she proved our hopes wrong by throwing up all over our booth and the floor of the restaurant :(

Things did not get better over the next few days, however the animals did have a positive effect on Eden's mood.  She was thrilled to be able to run up to the "neigh-neighs", something she can't do to the neigh-neighs that we pass each day to and from work.

Eden was on constant animal watch, she ate facing the fields so she could keep an eye out for them.
She was completely wiped out on the way home.  I missed the money shot, she was asleep with a chip in her mouth...
Cheese balls are not on the BRAT diet, however they were the only thing she would eat.  Thank goodness we picked up a couple of new DVDs, she was really into watching them! Lifesaver!!

Egg hunting

Easter is almost here and Garner held a little Easter festival at Lake Benson.  We went to the park to check it out, unfortunately it was bitter cold and windy, so we didn't stay too long.
There was music for Eden to dance to, bouncy houses (which we did not explore) and kite making kits.  Eden decorated a kite, but we left before getting it up into the air.
It was so cold and windy, we decided to have our own egg hunt later that day at home.  Eden caught on to the concept really quickly!  The dogs caught on to the fact that there were treats inside the eggs.  Sierra kept trying to eat them!
We put the eggs out in plain sight so it was pretty easy for her to catch on to the idea.

It was cute to see all three animals following Eden around the yard.

Poopies go nite-nite, books, cows and neigh-neighs

This kool kat informed me the other night while she was soaking in the tub, that poopies go nite-nite.  I'm not really sure what she meant by that, but she sure is trying to tell us a thing or two a lot these days.  She also is very hard to redirect at times, like in the picture above...glasses are meant to be worn upside down...

I am a little late in posting these pictures.  Eden went through a phase where she HAD to go to bed with ONE particular book.  She was always asleep on the one page in the book that has a cow in it.  She is pretty obsessed with cows these days.  One night, after leaving her with her book to fall asleep, we heard her mooing through the monitor. She was reading to herself!!
It's a hard to tell since she is wearing the same sweater, that these pictures were taken on different days....

Rock Star

Cam and Eden met me at the finish line of one of my races...Eden really enjoyed the post race party, especially the music.  She kept trying to run up a hill...it took us a few minutes to figure out what she was trying to do.  She wanted to stand under the speaker.  Miley Cirus was playing....
