Fall is here, finally!!

Fall is here....we celebrated Judy's birthday, the harvest of pumpkins and the State Fair!

We enjoyed a nice evening with GG on her birthday.

I braided Eden's hair for the first time before we headed out to the Fair.

Eden enjoyed her first "roller coaster" ride at the fair...the cars!! She was not a fan of the merry-go-round as she was last year. We rode it at least three times last year. This year, she dug her face into my chest the entire time....I thought she was going to be sick. Thankfully she was not! There are all types of awful foods to eat at the fair, deep fried cheesecake, cheeseburgers on krispy kreme doughnuts and all she wanted was a grilled corn on the cob. Good girl!

We went to the pumpkin patch and got three pumpkins. I carved mine and Eden's and they rotted within two weeks. It's rare that I think it is a good thing that Daddy procrastinated. At least now we have one more pumpkin to carve to have lit up on Halloween night!

We had a really warm (hot) spell this October. So, we spent a LOT of time playing inside Eden's house. She likes to put a lot of toys inside and then have us come sit inside with her. It's very cramped.

She likes to keep the windows shut!

One last trip to the crystal coast

We had such a great time at the beach over the 4th of July and with the Pattersons that we squeezed in one last trip to the beach, back to our favorite spot, Emerald Isle.

The waves were fantastic, thanks to Hurricane Igor churning off the coast. The little kids (and big kids) had fun riding the waves on boogie boards. All parents were on point though as the waves were rough!

We know Eden is a water baby, but boy does she rock the beach!

Not wanting to leave Bella behind by herself, we brought her along and she impressed us with her best behaviour.

Happy Birthday Baby Eden!

Cam and I are in absolute shock. Eden is turning TWO years old! Where in the world has the time gone?! We celebrated this milestone with doing what we did best this summer... hanging out by the pool!

Speaking of milestones, Eden hit many of them this past year. She can count to 20 in english, to 10 in spanish (sometimes not in the correct order, but all of the numbers are mentioned), sing the ABCs, feed the animals the dinner, empty the bottom rack of the dishwasher, talk on the phone, take Bella for a walk, SWIM, go down the slide at the pool, ride the waves on a boogie board and name all of the characters on Dora the Explorer as well as the kids in her class. The girl is a very busy two year old.

The theme for Eden's party this year was Under the Sea. I thought it to be fitting for a summer spent in the water. I made special fishy crispy treats...

After cake, Eden opened gifts...

I think she was a little mad at first that she had to take a nap during her party, but in the end had a great time playing with everyone. Thanks to all of her cousins, Aunts and Uncles, PaPa, GG and Nana!!

Eden is such a lucky little girl, Ashton gave her a playhouse for the backyard!

Lake Norman, Uncle Russ' Surprise Birthday Party!!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Russ!

A great time was had by all, thank you Aunt Kelly! We all stayed at Lake Norman for a week for a lot of fun in the sun and swimming in the water!

It was our first time meeting cousin Penny! She is going to be a big sister soon!!!

Back to the beach!!

We were lucky to be back out on the Crystal Coast again this July. The Patterson's invited us to join them in Pine Knoll Shores for the weekend.

Eden had fun with Grier (2yr) and Reagan (5yr). They all liked sitting in buckets on the beach.

We stopped at the NC aquarium on our way home, it was awesome!
