Summer Daze

Picnic in the park

It's as of Eden knew that I needed to be shamed about something.

These pictures should have been uploaded in March.

One of the first warm Friday afternoons of the year, we decided to pack a picnic dinner and head out to the park to play for a few hours.

After playing we set up our picnic site and spread out the food.

We also brought our new golf clubs so we could practice our "swing".

This video was taken in March. A little late in uploading videos, I just figured out how to get around uploading issues by using YouTube.

The beach, 2011!

Eden is not afraid of the waves, not even a tiny bit.

She loved being in the water and asked us continuously through out the week to take her out into the waves.

We have a little surfer chick in the making.

Not all of the grandkids were there this summer, but we still managed to have a good time. Abby's friend Makayla joined us this year.

Bella came with us this year and enjoyed the beach probably more than we did. She was exhausted at the end of each day. She could barely keep her eyes open.

The wind and waves kicked up halfway through the week, so we had to make do and just play on the beach.

The older kids had fun catching fish.

The fish were put into the water table so they could watch them swim.

Eden picked up Trent's fish, much to his dismay.

The adults enjoyed catching up under the shady tent.

Eden learned to make sand castles this year.

This is what I call, beach happy.

Summer fun

Eden loves everything about the pool, even skimming out the bugs.

She is an excellent swimmer in her vest and is taking more and more risks "diving under". Whenever she gets her hair wet, she says, "I went under!".

Here she is, "diving" into the water.

All of the swimming makes for a tired girl. Here she is taking a rest with her besty, Bella.
